Action campaigns
Every advocacy action campaign we've run, bill by bill, through the South Dakota legislative session. Each one was built and launched while the bill was live, most of them in a matter of days, because a hearing gets scheduled with a week's notice.
Every campaign below is still standing and can be walked through end to end. Each was built while its bill was live, so the pages show the ask exactly as members saw it at the time.
SD Data Center Action
District-targeted pressure instead of form-letter noise. A district lookup tool put every supporter in front of their own legislators and the right committee, with support and opposition captured in real time. ~2,000 constituent emails across 22 districts
ViewSD Hemp Action
Turned dense statutory language into positions people could actually act on. Supporters understood what the hemp bill did and what to ask for before the hearing, backed by structured outreach that reached the right legislators. ~1,000 constituent emails to legislators
ViewLet Sioux Falls Vote
Kept a municipal referendum's petition drive coordinated in real time. Signers found the nearest signing location and upcoming events on an interactive map instead of guessing where to show up.
ViewProperty Tax Action
Explained a slate of competing property tax bills in plain terms and connected people to their own legislators, so constituents could weigh in on the specific proposal that affected them rather than the issue in general.
ViewOppose SB 239
Built against the data center reinvestment payment program after the bill was hoghoused, when there were days rather than weeks to respond. Supporters chose their own argument: the corporate giveaway, water and electric load, the hoghouse itself, or whether the incentives work at all. Then they reached their own legislators by district.
